To start with the document will be on your PC. You need to index it and then get it onto the FileDirector server. The server could be anywhere in the world. So to do this you need to “check it in”. This basically means upload it.
So you can scan and have thousands of documents on your PC and then when you are ready upload them. To do this, select some or all of them and then either press F9 or right-click and Check In.
You will then see the documents start to leave your local documents and move to the server.
